For my sister’s studio maternity session in Texarkana — we knew we wanted a very fashion-forward feel. Kimberly is a brow stylist and a makeup artist in Texarkana, so glamorous things are naturally her “jam.” Our goal for this session was “Maternity photos… but make it Vogue.” ?

As we were planning for the shoot, we knew we didn’t want to go the typical maternity session route. Although the long dresses with trains that you throw up in the air are beautiful, we just knew we wanted something different.

We wanted them to feel like they could truly be on a magazine cover. Additionally, we wanted the clothing to be items she could *actually* wear again to a dinner party. I think we nailed it, but I could just be biased. ?

It was so surreal to take photos of my sister during this special season in her life. I honestly can’t believe she’s having a baby… and I’m going to get to meet her ANY day now. ?

We always talked about this time coming, but now it’s *finally* here. And to be honest, I couldn’t be more proud of her. She’s going to be the best mother; a Proverbs 31 woman in the making. ?
