You know how when you stare at something for so long – when you close your eyes, you can still vaguely see it?
Kristina & Eric exchanged vows at their favorite spot on the island here in Okinawa, this hidden cave off the side of Sesoko beach.
And I vividly remember a special moment during their wedding, when I had closed my eyes to pray with them: the very image of them in this cave, in front of the Chaplain, was burned into my brain.
At that moment, I saw a mere glimpse of what it may be like when Christ reunites with his bride, the church.
It was the most beautiful vision… and I’ll never forget it.
Kristina told me later that day, that anytime Eric makes her mad, or they have a little tiff, that she says “just dip me,” and he dips her and kisses her… and then all is well again. How cute!?
(Spoiler alert: they’re actually both Marines, and yes… this is the legit “you may kiss the bride” kiss! He dipped her… aaand I’m not crying.)
Before the wedding, we spent the day adventuring around to find photoshoot locations: going to different hotels, and running through jungles (okay parking lots… but still.)
