I’ve been SO dang excited to share this super fun session with Heather & Anthony, we seriously had the most fun-filled day! They even brought along their precious pup Willow, (I mean LOOK AT HER ?!)

At first, Willow was super shy and took a hot minute to warm up to Clay and I! I kid you not, when we first started taking pictures, she would literally pick up her front paw and turn around ever so slowly, trying to avoid the camera and escape the situation. ??

Then we got smart and realized she liked movement and playing around, so I had Heather & Anthony run with her, and at the end of the path, I had Clayton staged to feed her treats. She quickly grew to love us after that. ?

As we were shooting by the ocean and she was playing with the ball Clay was throwing, she escaped the leash and Anthony had to chase her down to get her back. ? (Oh yeah, the images are in here – I couldn’t NOT share all these funny parts. ???‍♀️

Willow was seriously such a diva the entire shoot, and she made me laugh more times than I can even count!

Once Willow had established trust in Clay, I was able to let him take her off and play with her while I got some shots of Heather & Anthony. After the first prompt, Heather stumped her toe SO HARD on a rock it started bleeding profusely and I was like “oh gosh, what have I done. ?) Anthony went and got her a first aid kit, and she was such a trooper and kept on having a blast the entire time! We got the best images, but most importantly, had the BEST time.

After I delivered their gallery, I received this super sweet message that rendered me speechless:

“Well, that was such a great surprise to wake up to this morning. Beyond grateful for you and your talent. Thank you. Somehow you made me fall in love with my husband and puppy all over again! On a side note, I’m going to need you to come back and do my hair and makeup at least once a month, to remind me that there is more to life than my lazy messy bun and a little chapstick. I felt so beautiful, thank you for that.” 

My ultimate goal is for my couples to leave their sessions MORE in love with each other than when they arrived. So reading that from Heather made my day. ??

This shoot was honestly just such a blast and I need a billion more like it in my life. I am so, so grateful for couples like this, you guys truly keep me fired up to spread beautiful images and experiences across the world. ??
