Kamryn wanted a classic, high-end location for her bridals, so we chose an Arkansas state capitol bridal session! You truly can’t go wrong with the Arkansas State Capitol. For one, it’s free to shoot at. (That’s a huge plus!) Two, the architecture is gorgeous; (both inside and out!) And three, because everything is essentially white, (or at least a super light grey.)

Why does that matter? Well, from a photography standpoint — it just means everything is a natural “reflector”. There’s beautiful light bouncing all around, everywhere you go. That’s especially true for your subject. When light is reflected back onto your subject, it helps to keep all the shadows lightened up, (under her eyes, chin, etc.) versus there being any crazy harsh shadows! 🙂

Okay, back to this session. The moment I laid eyes on Kamryn’s dress, I fell in LOVE. It’s seriously one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve seen! She looked like an actual princess. ??

Her dress is called the “Janine”, and it’s by Mori Lee! She got it at Gracyn Elizabeth Bride in Texarkana — one of my favorite dress shops!

Her hair and makeup artist was Kakki Jones, out of Little Rock, Arkansas. She did an amazing job as well! If you’re wanting an arkansas state capitol bridal session, or any other session in Little Rock for that matter, I highly suggest reaching out to her! 🙂
